Native Livewire+ Support Available in Gateway
Native Livewire+ AoIP support is included FREE in Gateway and Gateway 4 codecs from firmware release v3.06.08.
No Hardware Upgrade Required…
Best of all, no hardware upgrade is required to support Livewire+ AoIP streaming. A simple free software upgrade delivers all the benefits of Livewire+ support. Native support for Livewire+ facilitates both the Gateway and Gateway 4 being integrated seamlessly into the large number of networks that have deployed this proprietary protocol and that use Axia consoles and Pathfinder for routing control.
Tieline Gateway and Gateway 4 codecs with Livewire+ include features such as:
- Creation of Livewire+ compliant Sources and Destinations.
- Simple discovery of advertised Livewire+ sources across an AoIP network.
- Configuration and activation of Livewire GPIOs (64 Livewire GPIO ports supported).

In addition to Livewire+ support, Gateway and Gatway 4 codecs interface easily with analog and AES/EBU digital sources, as well as broadcast plants requiring compliance with AES67, ST 2110-30, ST 2022-7, RAVENNA, NMOS, and Ember+. An optional WheatNet-IP card is also available.
