Tieline Shows New ViA Duo and Gateway Nexus Products at IBC2026…

ViA Duo: One Device. Unified IP Workflows.

Tieline will show the ViA Duo codec at IBC for the first time. ViA Duo is the new generation of trusted ViA technology that truly bridges the gap between field reporting and commentary. Built for reporters and commentators alike, it is an ultra-portable broadcast platform that can operate as an IP codec, AoIP commentary node, or facilitate off-tube broadcasting with support for audio and video feeds.

Reporting, Commentary & Off-Tube Remotes

Simply take the codec to the remote site, power it up, and connect to your preferred network and start broadcasting. There’s no need for additional outboard gear like mixers, equalizers, compressors, noise gates, expanders, recorders and playback machines – with ViA Duo it is all-in-one and ready to go!

ViA Duo supports video streaming, multiple AoIP protocols, plus IP audio streaming over multiple interfaces. It delivers an all-in-one solution consolidating your remote broadcast, commentary and video production requirements into a single compact and lightweight box. It is ideal for:

  • Reporters to use with a guest
  • Two commentators broadcasting sports events
  • Announcers working from home
  • Talk show and other radio show hosts on the road
  • Streaming video, off-tube commentary, or use as a sports commentary unit over AES67, ST2110-30, Livewire,
RAVENNA, or Dante (AoIP and Dante card is optional)

Redundancy, Remote Control & More

With ViA Duo the possibilities are endless. You can:

  • Remote control the codec from anywhere, anytime using the built-in web-GUI or Cloud Codec Controller
  • Configure SmartStream PLUS hitless packet switching, or Fuse-IP data aggregation
  • Connect wirelessly with an optional internal Global LTE modem, USB modem, built-in Wi-Fi, or use dual LAN ports
  • Customize routing and headphone, cue and talkback matrices using the touchscreen

New Gateway Nexus High Density Codec at IBC

At the NAB Show earlier this year Tieline also unveiled the Gateway Nexus, a new 32-channel, high-density AoIP codec delivering deterministic, low-latency multichannel audio transport using dedicated and reliable hardware.

The Tieline Gateway Nexus codec debuted at NAB in 2026

Gateway Nexus can be deployed in hosted and data center environments and is engineered to natively support AES67, ST2110-30, ST2022-7, RAVENNA, Livewire, NMOS and Ember+ with optional Dante. It stands out as a powerful and cost-effective alternative to virtualized codec and server-based systems, providing seamless integration into IP-based audio networks. The Gateway Nexus will expand your encoding capabilities by providing a centralized hub for all your AoIP streams. It delivers high channel density and low latency connections for live programming and communications applications including SIP trunks. Other popular applications include network program syndication, managing multiple remotes, distributing STL signals and inter-studio links.

As the broadcast industry shifts towards centralized and remote production models for live broadcast applications, the codec’s DSP-based platform allows broadcasters to upscale infrastructure efficiently. It delivers consistent latency, predictable performance and operational simplicity, making it ideal for state-of-the-art broadcast networks. Full remote control is provided using the Toolbox Web-GUI embedded in every unit, or the optional Cloud Codec Controller.

NAB Show Product of the Year Award

The multi-award-winning MPX I and MPX II codecs deliver composite FM multiplex (MPX) codec solutions for real-time network distribution of FM-MPX, or MicroMPX (μMPX) signals to transmitter sites. Both the MPX I and MPX II support sending the full uncompressed FM signal, or purchase the optional compressed μMPX license to deliver high-quality multiplexed FM signals at lower bit-rates. The codecs support analog MPX (BNC) or MPX over AES192 to deliver a wide range of flexible composite encoder and decoder configurations for many different applications. Order an optional satellite tuner card with MPEG-TS and MPE support which lets you encode MPEG-TS over IP to transmit UDP streams over DVB satellite connections.

Benefits of Tieline MPX Solutions

Sending transmission-ready FM composite signals from the studio allows broadcasters to maintain audio processing and RDS data insertion at the studio. This significantly reduces capital and operational costs by eliminating processing equipment from transmitter sites, which reduces on-site power consumption, wiring and rack space requirements, as well as site visits for service and support. Codecs are now shipping and you can discuss possible solutions for your network in Hall 8 at Tieline booth 8.F65 at IBC in 2026.
