ViA Duo Wins Best of Show

Tieline’s ViA Duo remote codec has won a Radio World Best of Show Award at the 2026 IBC Show in Amsterdam. A panel of experienced engineers and industry experts selected award winners based on innovation, functionality, feature set, value, and the ability to meet the broadcast industry’s evolving needs.

Unified Workflows for Remote Broadcasting

ViA Duo is an ultra-portable broadcast platform that unifies IP workflows into a single solution for remote broadcasts, commentary, and off-tube production.

“Tieline is thrilled to receive Radio World’s Best of Show Award for ViA Duo, our new-generation remote codec that builds on our trusted ViA technology,” said Charlie Gawley, Tieline VP Sales APAC/EMEA. “ViA Duo bridges the gap between field reporting and commentary by operating as an IP codec, or an AoIP commentary node, and supporting off-tube broadcasting with both audio and video feeds.”

Designed for Flexible Production

Built for reporters and commentators, ViA Duo supports video streaming, multiple AoIP protocols, and IP codec streaming across multiple interfaces. It is ideal for:

  • Field reporting with a reporter and guest
  • Two-person commentary at sporting events
  • Remote announcing from home
  • Talk shows and other radio programs produced on the road
  • Off-tube or sports commentary over AES67, ST 2110-30, Livewire, RAVENNA, or Dante (optional AoIP and Dante card required)

Compact, Connected, and Ready to Go

Compact and lightweight, ViA Duo fits in the palm of your hand. It includes two XLR mic/line inputs and two headphone outputs, and can send bidirectional stereo or dual-mono IP audio from any remote location using cellular, Wi-Fi, or Ethernet connections.

ViA Duo combines mixing, EQ, compression, expansion, noise gating, recording, and playback in one unit, so there is no need for additional outboard equipment. It is ready to deploy as a complete portable production solution.

AoIP, REMI, and Off-Tube Workflows

In a stadium commentary booth, ViA Duo can operate as an AoIP node connected over a LAN to a remote truck or over a WAN to a mixing console at a studio REMI hub. Its video streaming and off-tube capabilities allow commentary teams to receive a live video feed and call an event from anywhere in the world. Each unit also includes the embedded Toolbox Web-GUI for full remote control, with the optional Cloud Codec Controller available for additional management.
