Tieline today announced that its Gateway 4 codec is a Best New Hardware Infrastructure Technology winner in the 2021 NAB Show Product of the Year Awards. This official awards program recognizes the most significant and promising new products and technologies showcased by corporate partners of NAB Show.
NAB Show Product of the Year Award Winners were selected by a panel of industry experts in 16 categories. “Nominees like Tieline are revolutionizing the way people experience media and entertainment,” said NAB Executive Vice President of Conventions and Business Operations Chris Brown. “The 2021 NAB Show Product of the Year Awards highlight the best of what’s new and celebrates the breakthroughs and advancements within the content industry.”
This NAB Show award follows the recent announcement of the Gateway 4 winning a Radio World Best in Market award. “Tieline is thrilled to receive the 2021 NAB Show Product of the Year Award,” said Will McLean, CEO Tieline Group of Companies. “This is Tieline’s second award in a week honoring excellence in product design and innovation. The Gateway 4 is a powerful DSP-based 1RU IP codec designed for live remote broadcasting applications, as well as STL or SSL links. It offers two stereo connections, or one stereo and two mono connections, or up to 4 mono connections. The Gateway includes support for AES67, ST 2110-30, RAVENNA, NMOS, AES3 and analog I/O as standard. An optional WheatNet-IP card can also be installed at purchase.
The Gateway 4 features hitless packet switching with SmartStream PLUS redundant streaming, as well as bandwidth aggregation using Fuse-IP technology. Its feature-rich and compact design is interoperable with all Tieline IP codecs and compatible over SIP with all EBU N/ACIP Tech 3326 and 3368 compliant codecs and devices.
Configurable through an embedded HTML5 Toolbox Web-GUI interface, the Gateway 4 is also fully controllable using Tieline’s Cloud Codec Controller. The Gateway 4 also supports Ember+, which is an openly available control protocol designed to integrate devices from different vendors into a single software interface.
