Resolving Codec Connectivity Issues Between the Cloud Codec Controller and TieLink

Some customers are currently experiencing connectivity issues with the Cloud Codec Controller (CCC) and TieLink. This issue does not affect codec connections and operation and direct Toolbox Web-GUI access from a browser is not affected.

The specific issue with CCC and TieLink is caused by the unexpected expiry of a security certificate and to resolve this issue quickly we recommend the codecs are upgraded with new firmware resolving the issue. Please see the list below to see if the new firmware is available for your codec model.

If your network wishes to stay on your current version of codec firmware, the following temporary workaround is available:

On all affected codecs open the HTML5 Toolbox Web-GUI and click Settings in the Menu Bar, then click Date & Time to display the Date & Time panel

  1. Deselect/disable the Enable NTP check-box.
  2. Deselect/disable the Set date and time automatically check-box.
  3. Set the codec time and date well before the 8th February 2026 (e.g. February 2025) to suit your organization’s planned upgrade timeline.

This will allow the codec to communicate normally with the CCC and TieLink.

Tieline takes network security extremely seriously and all codecs have security certificates to ensure network security. We recommend you avoid any codec reboots, network/CCC/TieLink config changes and internet connectivity breaks until these changes are made or firmware is updated.
