Tieline the Codec Company announced today that its Bridge-IT XTRA II codec was awarded the RedTech Best in Show Award at IBC 2024 in Amsterdam. This prestigious annual award acknowledges outstanding technical innovation for broadcast products and solutions introduced in the last year.
“IBC 2024 was the worldwide debut for our new Bridge-IT XTRA II codec and Tieline is delighted to win the RedTech Best In-Show Award,” said Charlie Gawley, Tieline VP Sales APAC/EMEA. “The ½ RU Bridge-IT II was unveiled at NAB in Las Vegas earlier this year where it received a Best of Show Award.”
Both codecs include all the favorite first-generation Bridge-IT features: a front panel screen and keypad for simple menu navigation, XLR analog and digital AES inputs, a wide range of encoding options, and support for multi-unicast and multicast connections. New features to support modern networking requirements include:
- Native support for AES67, ST2110-30, ST2022-7, Livewire, RAVENNA and AMWA NMOS IS-04 and IS-05.
- Two full-duplex mono connections, or full duplex stereo.
- Multiple Ethernet and AoIP ports.
- Failover to another connection, HTTP stream, or audio file playback.
- Support for wireless cellular modems.
“There has been significant interest in both codecs here at IBC due to their impressive feature-sets, which are available at an affordable price point for all broadcast professionals,” said Gawley.
