TieLink IP codec traversal server: how it works

Tieline Reveals TieLink IP Codec Traversal Server at IBC2019

TieLink Traversal Server Syncs with Tieline Codecs
Tieline will reveal the new TieLink IP Codec Traversal Server for the first time at IBC. TieLink delivers simple codec discovery, NAT traversal, and connections throughout your entire network.

The TieLink Traversal Server ensures engineers no longer need to worry about complex IP network configuration with Tieline codecs. Whether its a large network with hundreds of IP codecs, or a small station with a few, TieLink simplifies connecting over IP for non-technical broadcast personnel.

The TieLink Traversal Server is a secure, independently hosted global server network, with multiple global backups. It centralizes Tieline codec contact list management and provides self-discovery of codecs within customized ‘call-groups’. Users can easily view the online or offline status of all codecs in a group and whether it is connected or disconnected. It also provides NAT traversal to simplify connections.

TieLink operates over most wired and wireless IP networks. Plus, it is as simple as making a phone call to get connected. It is free to use with all ViA, Genie and Merlin codecs and TieLink Traversal Server licenses can be purchased for Bridge-IT and Bridge-IT XTRA codecs.

Cloud Codec Controller
When combined with the Cloud Codec Controller, which is designed to manage an entire fleet of Tieline codecs remotely, engineers have the power to configure, connect and monitor all remote codecs from the studio more easily than ever before!

See TieLink and the Cloud Codec Controller demonstrated at the Tieline booth in Hall 8, Booth E74 at IBC (https://show.ibc.org). To make an appointment with Charlie Gawley email c.gawley@tieline.com.au. For more information visit www.tieline.com/tielink. See Tieline’s online IBC2019 info here.
