Tieline’s Genie Distribution audio codec is the recipient of one of the industry’s most prestigious technology honors, NewBay Media’s Best of Show Award, presented at the IBC2015 show in Amsterdam by the international edition of Radio World.

The Awards are evaluated by a panel of engineers and industry experts, and are selected based on innovation, feature set, cost efficiency and performance in serving the industry.

“Tieline is thrilled that for the second year running we have received recognition at IBC for the delivery of world-first solutions for radio engineers,” said Will McLean, CEO of Tieline the Codec Company.

Some of the technology solutions featured in Genie Distribution at IBC2015 include:

  • A wide range of cost effective program distribution solutions to replace costly satellite, circuit switched and MPLS IP infrastructure.
  • Streaming of multiple algorithms simultaneously, at different sample rates and bit-rates, over all network transports – POTS, ISDN and IP.
  • A new HTML5 version of the Toolbox web-GUI. With some major web-browsers moving away from Java compatibility, this new option runs seamlessly on modern browsers.
  • Expanded SIP capability, with support for up to 6 simultaneous SIP connections from a 1U box!
